What we do
Erie Express fishing charters & guide service has over 75 years of family experience fishing for walleye, yellow perch and smallmouth bass in the western & central basin of Lake Erie. Captain Mike Sawyer offers an 8-hour fishing charter for up to six people with reasonable rates. The fishing charter leaves from the dock on Catawba Island, in Port Clinton, Ohio, out onto Lake Erie. Charters can be arranged in many configurations and extra boats can be added if needed. At a time when the lake is filled with part-time guides, you can rest assured that you’re getting Mike’s full attention, as this is his full-time job.

Who are we?
Mike holds a 100-ton US Coast Guard license & is an Ohio licensed guide. He grew up on Lake Erie, fishing with his parents, who were also both guides. Mike has been on the lake for 40+ years. He lives in Port Clinton, OH six months out of the year.
Lisa holds a 50-ton near-coastal US Coast Guard license with an assistance towing endorsement, and is also an Ohio licensed guide. She has spent 14 years fishing on Lake Erie. Lisa is a native of Sandusky, OH and now resides in Cleveland, OH.
